Many graduates can read and understand Arabic texts, but they often struggle to express themselves fluently in speaking or writing. This leaves a gap between the academic knowledge of Arabic and the ability to use it practically in teaching, communication, or personal reflection.
To address this, we’re proposing a new module to Level 3 of Sibawayh, the Arabic Speaking and Writing Course. This will help graduates move from understanding Arabic to thinking and expressing in Arabic with confidence.
This will be a three-month online course, offering a total of around 24 hours of instruction, with classes held once a week on Sunday.
Each cohort will currently be only for males and limited to a maximum of 12 students to ensure personal attention, active participation, and meaningful feedback. The sessions will be taught live and interactively by an experienced Arabic instructor who can guide students through structured speaking and writing exercises that build fluency naturally over time.
Each applicant will go through an assessment. This short assessment is designed to help us understand your current level of Arabic so we can place you in the most suitable Sibawayh course. It is not testing perfection. We are simply looking to see how comfortably you can read, understand, and express yourself in Arabic at this stage of your studies.
