For many graduates and scholars, khidmah (serving the Ummah) has been narrowly defined as leading prayers, delivering khutbahs, or teaching children in the maktab. While these remain noble and essential duties, today’s communities also face complex challenges, such as identity crises, mental health struggles, family breakdown, spiritual disconnection, that require broader forms of engagement.
