The love and honour of the noble family of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is not just a matter of sentiment,  it is a core part of our faith and a powerful expression of our connection to him. Yet this essential topic is often overlooked or misunderstood in modern discourse. In this self-paced course we explore a profound collection of 42 hadiths compiled by the esteemed Moroccan scholar Al-Hafiz Muhammad al-Kattani (b. 1273 AH).

Through hadith narrations and classical commentary, this course teaches what it truly means to love the Prophet’s family — not as exaggeration or empty words, but as a living commitment that shapes our character, priorities, and relationship with Allah. It clarifies the balanced Sunni understanding of this love, avoiding both neglect and extremism, while also affirming the rightful honour due to the Prophet’s companions alongside his family.

About the Author

Al-Hafiz Abu 'Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ja'far al-Kattani (b. 1273 AH) received his early religious education in his native Morocco, then travelled to Syria and the Hijaz to continue his studies with many of leading scholars of his time. He was a specialist of hadith but also mastered other sciences including Islamic jurisprudence. He was deeply involved in the political struggle against colonialism, and was a great support to the legitimate Muslim rulers.

Love for the Ahl al-Bayt is not optional — it is a sign of true iman and a source of immense barakah in both this life and the next.
