A Muslimah’s Guide to a Productive Ramadan
Deepen your connection with the Creator during & beyond Ramadan.
Many of us just see Ramadan as an opportunity to gain some extra reward by fasting, reciting more Qur’an and offering extra optional (nafl) prayers. But Ramadan holds a deeper significance for true believers. Allah Most High himself tells us:
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may adopt taqwa. (Quran 2:183)
Ramadan represents a truly transformative period, guiding believers towards eternal success by nurturing the essence of taqwa in their hearts and actions. Taqwa is often simplified to ‘fear of Allah’ but it encompasses much more. It is the cornerstone of faith, representing self-discipline, heightened spiritual awareness and deep reflection. So what exactly is taqwa? And how does Ramadan serve as a catalyst for attaining taqwa?
These sessions will help Muslim women see Ramadan as an opportunity to reset their relationship with Allah and value it as a powerful opportunity to redirect their lives towards its purpose. Participants will learn practical ways to maximise this potential and deepen their connection with the Creator beyond Ramadan despite their busy lives and multiple commitments.
